This may seem like an incredibly stupid question but this is my first time using SPSS.
Just wondering if anyone knows how to compare survey results between two groups. THe groups are an 4:1 ratio.
Most questions are based on the likert scale with a few multiple choise answers.
Any help would be wonderful.
Thanks,
Sarah

Comparing survey results between two groups is very easy, especially when using likert (= interval/scale) data. All you need to do is put the groups into a one-way ANOVA (In spss, click on Analyse-compare means - one way ANOVA). Put the variable specifying the groups into the box named 'factor', and then the results you want to compare the groups on in the box named 'Dependent list'.
If you want to see exactly which clusters differ significantly from each-other, click on an option such as Tukey's b post hoc. This can be found within the one way ANOVA, under the option post hoc.

Hope this answers your question, good luck!
