What is the best (user friendly) software that should be used in a reaserach:confused:

I don't think that's a question with a sensible answer. It depends completely on what you want to do with the software (i.e. what type of analyses you want to run), what your area of study is, what your statistical and computer/programming abilities are like, your own preferences, etc etc etc.

Maybe if you tell us specifically what you actually want to use the software for, then someone might have some recommendations.

Btw, why have put this question in the Stata sub-forum if you're still trying to figure out which software to use? :confused:

I was wondering the same thing.

CowboyBear brings up some good points. I mean R is great! Especially for doing research. But it's not great if you don't know how to use it and everybody you know is using something else! Give us some more information and we might be able to help some more.
