Hi Everyone :wave: new here (and new to stats so bear with me!) Here is my task (in brief). I have 600,000 call records, each with an age and postcode attached. In a second file, I have scores for every postcode in Scotland which have been compiled from 7 indicators of deprivation (Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation 2004). I have to match a score to each postcode on my call records then analyse the results (by age band, gender etc). My question is, can I just go ahead and do this, simple as it sounds or do I have to normalise and age standardise the data first? The call volume dispersion is very skewed towards younger ages.

depend to your analysis, can you tell about it .
but in general :
if your data were normal, use parametric test if not, you should use non parametric test, please attend that ,it depend to your analysis.
