View Full Version : Number within +/- 1 standard deviation of the mean
I'm confused on how I calculate this. Let's say I have a mean of 7,000 and a standard deviation of 10,000 what do I do with them? Do I need to include the calculated Z-values? I have 25 z-values. I'm not sure if I'm wording this correctly, but maybe someone knows what I'm talking about.

Do you have a sample of 25 numbers with a mean of 7,000 and standard deviation of 10,000. If so, look up definition of mean/standard deviation and apply to your dataset. Can see which values fall within a standard deviation of the mean or calculate a z-value for a particular number compared to the mean and standard deviation. All depends on what you question actually is.
