First I'm not looking for anyone to do my project. Whew, had to get that out there.
I have a project for my stats class. First select a population to study and a minimum of two quantitative variables for that population.
(This is both an individual and group project. The group is not easy to work with this is why I'm begging!)
We need to have 20 (x) and 20 (y).
After pulling teeth the group settled on weather: temp and precipitation. Both are quantitative variables. To get the numbers we chose to look at months throughout various years. (I suggested months as it seemed easier to get those numbers.) Classmates want to use a specific date. I can go either way.
The questions arising are:
Is a date quantitative?
and since we need to create a stem-and-leaf display for one variable studied doesn't it make sense to use the date as the (y) and temp or precipitation as (x) in the display?
A correlation study of the two variables is needed as well.
Does this make sense? Any questions? Any help?
Thank you!!!
