I have data regarding video game consoles (16 categories), so of course I have to convert these into dummy variables now if I want to run regressions, correct?

Do I actually have to make 15 separate variables, with the missing one being the reference category, or do I make 16, just only select 15 in regressions?

I'm not sure how to start, or then how to apply the proper tests. (e.g., how age affects video game console choice)

Thank you!! ;)

instead of doing that, run the regression from the anova menu, analyze>general linear model>univariate model. The categorical ones to fixed factors and the continuous ones to the covariates. You avoid wasting time with what you just said.
