A STUDY EXAMINED HOW LONG AIRCRAFT AIR CONDITIONING UNITS OPERATED AFTER BEING REPARIED. HERE ARE THE OPERATING TIMES IN HOURS FOR ONE UNIT.
97 51 11 4 141 18 142 18 77 80 1 16 106 206 82 54 31 216 46 111 39 63 18 191 18 163 24

A make a histogram of there data using 40 hour classes

B DESCRIBE THE OVERALL SHAPE OF THR DISTRIBUTION.IS IT SLIGHTLY SYMMETRIC, SKEWED TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT? ARE THERE ANY OUTLIERS?
MY ANSWER- SKEWED RIGHT AND THERE ARE NO OUTLIERS
C. IS THE FIVE NUMBER SUMMARY OR THE MEAN AND STANDARD DEVIATION A BETTER BRIEF SUMMARRY FOR THIS DISTRIBUTION?
MY ANSWER YES

PLEASE REVIEW THANKS

for C., are you selecting the 5-number summary instead of the mean/std dev? If so, everything looks good.

Why Would I Consider The Standard Dev/ And The Mean?

You wouldn't, because the distribution is skewed. The mean and standard deviation is a good way to summarize a symmetrical, bell-shaped distribution.

The question asked you which is better: the 5-number summary or the mean and standard dev. In this case, since the distribution is skewed, the 5-number summary is better.
