View Full Version : Quantum Correspondence Output Analysis

Hi all.

Got some correspondence analysis outputs from Quantum (SPSS) that I'd like a hand to analyze please.

Basically, I know that modern statistical software allows one to simply view the graph output, but this is useless to me, I'd like to understand more behind the underlying theory.

So, I've got relationships between brands and some attributes of them..., lets say "Coca-Cola" "Pepsi" "Fanta" and "Sweet" "Unhealthy" "Sugary", etc.
I have percentage counts of those who said Coca-Cola is Unhealthy, etc.

My data provides a correspondence map, and the supplementary table provides Chi Square Cell Intertias, CoOrdinates, Inertias, Correlations and Correlations of Rows.

I've figured out that my Intertias table tells me the distance from the mid-point (inertia) of an attribute or brand; and my Cell Intertias (duh) tell me the relationship between a brand and an attribute, while my Correlation of Rows gives me outputs detailign correlations between attributes.

I'm curious as to how to analyze the rest of the data, as I'd really like to sink my teeth into it...

It's hard going without the manual, and I haven't done statistics past a third-year college/university psychology level, so while I understand the fundamental underlying principles, the outputs are confusing the hell out of me.

Thanks!
