Hello,
I am running Minitab R14 and I am trying to perform a stepwise regression.
My text book, (Probability and Statistics For Engineering and the Sciences, by Jay L. Devore 6th Edition), says that you run a regression pulling predictors out, lowest t-value, one at a time, until you hit a target t value, t_out.

So I went into minitab trying to do this, but it wants either an alpha (default is .1) or an F (default is 4).
How do alpha and F translate to t?

Thank you!

The T-Value you say is nothing but a value that leads to the P-Value. Check any T distribution table to know how they are related (and how to define alpha).
