Hi Everyone!

Just wondering whether someone will be able to help me. I have been trying to figure how to use the GenStat software to perform KM for days with no success.

I used a raw spreadsheet to input the data onto 3 columns, 1 column for time, the other for probability of death (1=yes, 0=no) and presence or absence of the variable in questions (1=metastasis, 0=no metastasis).

When I enter the Genstat menu for Kaplan Meier, it asks me for the following 3 variables:

1) Time points (entered column 1)
2) Censored (entered column 2 - died or not)
3) Group (tried entering data from column 3, metastasis or no metastasis) -> no success.

The problem that I have is that whenever I try to enter the variable for the "group" section in the KM menu, the available data all vanishes and I am unable to enter the data from column 3. When I click the other 2 menus (time points and censored, the available data re-appears).

This is driving me nuts. Can anyone help??

Thanks,

Satoshi

If your time points are less or discrete then ,you can do this in excel.

Check this.
