Hi;
I just can't wrap my mind around this problem:
I have made-up data from an experiment, where 5 groups with 5 participants each need to be compared. I'm supposed to start by comparing two of the groups against one another, then the first two groups with the last three etc. I need to perform the analyses, preferably in SPPS and report any EC adjustment I might make. I thought I'd use a One-Way ANOVA and the Bonferroni method - but if you do custom contrasts in a One-Way ANOVA alpha levels can't be adjusted. My professor says I can still use the Bonferroni method - I guess by hand? I don't understand how to do this! Can somebody explain this on a level I can understand. Also, I can do a different analysis if that would be easier. I don't know SPSS very well, so I'd need clear instructions! Thanks.
