First post here..
I have a simple neural system computational model, run on MATLAB. I want to vary certain parameters of the system (such as the firing thresholds), in three different neurons. I want to test about 9 different thresholds for every neuron, meaning I would have 9^3=729 runs of this model. From each of these runs, I plan to extract ~10 features (such as firing amplitudes, peak to peak times).
I know my explanation isn't clear, but I hope you follow :o
End result: I have 10 data points (+ 3 for the firing thresholds) for 729 trials. I want to determine any relationships between these data, i.e. how does increasing the firing threshold of neuron X affect the peak to peak firing rate of neuron Y? Are there statistical tools that will allow me to perform this kind of inspection?
I'm fairly certain, btw, that these relationships are non-linear.
I have both MATLAB and JMP to run statistical tests.
Thank you!
