MGF and Maximum Likelihood Estimation - need help!

    Hi all,

I'm new to the forums and delighted to have discovered this website! I am currently studying for a Higher Certificate in Statistics and there are 2 topics which I'm having a nightmare to grasp. They are Moment Generating Functions and Maximum Likelihood Estimators. I am not that good in Maths and I guess my problem lies there!

Can anyone please point to an online resource where these 2 topics are explained in a very clear and concise manner? Or may be you can help me on this forum itself!

    rgds,
    Ali

    Hello
two topics are very interesting and i think , they dont related to mathematics very much.
i advice you ,read book , because in Internet very good book is not online but if you insist ,so search in google for your topic.
but i suggest , you read good books about mathematical statistics , books with such authors : Rohatgi , Mood and Graybill
i hope you will be succeed
