please help an exhausted and stressed student!

I would be so eternally greatful if somebody could please help me! I am doing my dissertation and have come to analysing my data using SPSS, and i am totally baffled with which test to use! I'm pretty sure i can do the tests if i knew which one to use! My research question is comparing peoples score on santa clara strength of religious faith questionnaire with their scores on an anxiety questionnaire and also a self esteem questionnaire. There is 45 participants who all complete all 3 questionnaires. I would like to compare all three conditions with each other, so high or low religion with anxiety, high or low religion with self esteem, and anxiety with self esteem. i would also like to look at age and gender in comparison with the factors.

I'm thinking mixed repeated measures ANOVA, am i getting close?!

I think a good place to start is to try to state your hypothesis clearly/formly.

Like:
H0: The average scores on these questionaires are equal.

Or

H0: The distribution of scores is the same on these questionnaires.


Or something like that.

my hypothesis is that participants with strong levels of faith will experience lower levels of anxiety and higher levels of self esteem.

How about

HO: The average Anxiety is lower, AND, the average Self esteem is greater, among people of low Faith Score.

It seems reasonable to me, but im no psycologist. (i do watch dr. phil sometimes).

I think you need to state your between subject and repeated measures factors clearly before proceeding.

Good advice above. You need to define your hypothesis clearly before proceeding. Can I suggest you start with something simple? Plot your faith scores against the self-esteem scores and calculate the correlation. Do the same for faith vs. anxiety. Then, if you wish, you can proceed with contrasts between gender, age groups, etc.
