I know this is a really old thread but... what picture are you talking about?
Notable difference
As I've tried explaining in the picture,
how do you calculate the certainty that there is a real difference in each group, and not just random deviation.
Long time since last stat-coruse, so a few function-names in MS excel would have helped alot.
(Not looking for numerical answers, just the method)
