    standard deviation of replicates

    Hi

I have a samples set where each sample have been measured twice, that is, I have two technical replicates of each sample.
Would it be possible, and useful, to calculate the standard deviation of the technical replicates if there is only two replicates?

    Thanks in advance

You can isolate the variability due to replication with ANOVA, and you definitely should. Read about ANOVA with replication.
