Group Comparison Question

Hi all:

I'm new to the forum and I have run into my first statistical problem.

I have two groups, each with seven subjects. Each subject has many values calculated within it -- specifically a 50x50 excel matrix for each of the seven subjects in each group.

My goal is to compare both groups to see how similar they are to one another. I just want a broad answer.

Thus far I have done other statistical things with the data for other reasons, but I cannot tackle this seemingly easy problem.

Any suggestions for making some headway?

Have you looked into Mantel tests for correlations between two matrices?
