    Gaussian random number generator

    Hi guys,

I'm quite stuck with how this random number generator works. I know that the random numbers it generates follow the normal distribution. Does this simply mean that the numbers lie on the distribution curve (or bell curve, for instance)?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
I do not know what random number generator you are referring to', but yes the random number are drawn from a normal distribution with a given mesn and standard deviation.
Of course, once you have drawn a big sample you can plot a frequency distribution histogram and you will see that the distribution is centered around the given mean.
