Hi all,
I am wondering about the degree of meticularity I should be using when creating my repeated measures template for SPSS, with respect to my design.
I have 2 DV's.
There are 2 IV's each with 4 levels (I will call them IVa and IVb).
Moreover, there are 6 trials at each combination of IV.
Thus, the data is long and complicated, and looks like:
IVa level I at IVb level I, trial I, II, III, IV, V, VI
IVa level I at IVb level 2, trial I, II, III, IV, V, VI
IVa level I at IVb level 3, trial I, II, III, IV, V, VI
IVa level I at IVb level 4, trial I, II, III, IV, V, VI
...
...
IVa level IV at IVb level 4, trial I, II, II, IV, V, VI.
Whew! Thats a heap-load of data.
In order to run a repeated measures ANOVA in spss, will I want to show the score for each trial in succession, or would I do just as well to use an average such that:
IVa level I at IVb level I (Average)
IVa level II at IVb level II (Average)
...
...
IVa level IV at IVb level IV (Average)?
I greatly appreciate and have incredible admiration for anyone with this knowledge.
Thanks,
MrARC
