I have a problem with only the this as a given Find P(Z> -.95). How do I find p...I don't know any other values to plug in or do I just make something up...

Is it a Normal Distribution? If so, P(Z > -.95) = P(Z < .95) because they are symetric(as Z > -.95) covers the area from this number all the way to the rest of the right of the number, and P(Z < .95) covers the area from this number all the way to the rest of the left of the number.

There's a Normal Table(I think Appendix 5 in your book) where you look up the Z figure on the left column side.

If P(Z < a positive number), then whatever number matches with the number on the left column is p.

If P(Z < a negative number), then 1 - P(Z < positive number of this instead)

P(Z > a negative number) = P(Z < a positive number)

P(Z > a positive number) = 1 - P(Z < this same positive number)
