    Question problems with MGF



    Here are 2 similar kind of problems regarding MGF. So I'm posting on the same thread. Hope there is no problem.

    1)MGF of a rv is given by \frac{1}{5}[\frac{1+2e^{2t}}{e^{4t}}+\frac{e^{3t}+e^{6t}}{e^{5t}}],t is a Real number.
    Can the distribution be identified?

    2)MGF of a rv is e^t(5-4e^t)^{-1}, t<.0223. Evaluate P(X=4 or 5)

    Not sure about the first question.

    The distribution in the second question is a geometric distribution with
    p = \frac {1} {5}
