It's a binomial distribution problem, with p=.38 and n=6.
I've been at this question for an hour, going through my notes and I just can't find the right way to do this question: According to a recent study, 38% of all women will suffer a hip fracture because of osteoporosis by the age of 85. If six women aged 85 are randomly selected, what is the probability that:
a. none of them will suffer (or has suffered) a hip fracture due to osteoporosis?
b. At least four of them will suffer a fracture
c. fewer than 2 will suffer.
I don't know any other way to figure this out other than tree diagram maybe but that would take way too long.
If anyone knows how to solve this please tell me.
