Novice - Which Tests Do I Need?

I’m quite new to statistical analysis and I would greatly appreciate any help on working out how best to analyse my data.

I have 2000 individuals – all being measured on 6 lifestyle categories i.e. age, sex, blood pressure etc. Three of the variables are scale and 3 nominal.
I want to be able to determine whether there is a relationship between one of the scale variables (blood pressure) and rest of the variables.

Will I need to conduct a multiple regression analysis, or is there a better way to do this?

    Many thanks in advance!

Assuming all the predictors are more or less independent of one another, it would make sense to conduct a regression. A simple way would be to use the Unianova command: Analyze...General Linear Model...Univariate. That will let you enter both the scale and nominal predictors without having to create any dummy variables. The results will be formatted like in anova, but if you ask for parameter estimates you'll get regression slopes.
