I should clarify -- I would like only a 1% false positive and false negative rate, i.e. alpha .01 and beta .99. Thanks!
Hello! Thank you in advance for your time. I have a dataset with 118 samples. There is one IV and one DV; the data are lognormally distributed; and I would like to do a sample size/power analysis.
Given the following information: of the 118 samples, there are 12 occurrences (10.2%) that are above 3.6 -- I do not care about the other 108 occurrences. The mean is 2.44; the standard deviation is 7.12; the variance is 50.7; the max is 48.1; and the min is 0.03. How many samples would I need to detect these 12 occurrences with alpha and beta set to 0.99?
Thank you!
