Adding letters in graph for no significant difference

    Hi,

does anybody now how to add letters in a graph (lineplot) in R for treatment levels that did not differ significantly from each other? I've searched the web but without any luck

    Thank you!

If you reference functions that aren't in the R base you should let us know which package they can be found in.

I don't know about lineplot but I'm guessing that the 'text' function should work with it. This will allow you to manually add text to your plots.

Ok, I'm using library(sciplot). I don't even know if you can do it in a lineplot, for sure you can do it in a barplot (but don't knoe the syntax either)... I thought about inserting it manually, but I'd like to make it with R if possible

You can. I just tried. At least with lineplot.CI (which is the only lineplot I could find in sciplot).

I'd try to help more with the automation except I don't really understand what you're trying to do.

I found a graph similar to what I want to do. Name: Screen shot 2011-05-24 at 3.49.57 PM.png

So for those results (of an ANOVA) which are not sign. different, same letters are added.
