    Process improvement

Regarding process/quality improvement...besides studying the number of newspaper ads with errors, what other information can statisticians look at that could have errors on a daily basis?

Almost anything could have an error on a daily basis. Examples could include any product of an industrial process (cars, boats, planes), medical proceedures, purchasing or logistic decisions....

I have never worked in advertising, but off hand I would guess their billing of their customers (or payment to employees or benefits to the same) would be the most obvious place for such errors. The more routine the service the more likely frequent errors are.
