Hi all :-)

I'm trying to find solution to the following problem, could anyone please help ?

[LEFT][LEFT][LEFT]
In response to the increasing weight of airline passengers the US Federal Aviation Administration in
2003 told airlines to assume that passengers average weight in the summer including clothing and
carry-on luggage was 190 pounds with a standard deviation of 35 pounds. Calculate the probability
that a passenger will weigh
(a) less than 170 pounds
(b) more than 220 pounds
(c) more than 150 pounds
(d) between 150 and 220 pounds (16 marks)
What is the probability that no passenger on a particular flight will exceed 220 pounds if there are 100
passengers booked for the flight.

Thank you

Honka
