I've ocnducted a two way ANOVA (2x6). 2 level of factors = Device 1 and Device 2. And teh 6 level of factors refer to the way the years of game experience the users have.

The dependant variable is the total marks of the post test.

The result of the two way ANOVA showed the main effect of the experience is significant, but NOT for the main efefct of the device and also the interaction effect.

My question is: Do i NEed to conduct a post hoc analysis? When do I need to ocnduct apost hoc analysis- is it only when teh interaction effect is isgnificant??
