Regression equation - predict X from Y?

If I have a value for Y, how can I predict a value for X using the regression equation?

X = ??????

Is this right:

X = intercept - slope*Y

or y = mx + c (m is gradient, c is y-intercept)... try it and post your working here!

You can predict X by turning an alternative form of the regression equation around like this:

$\hat{X_{i}}=\bar{X}+r\frac{s_{x}}{s_{y}}\left (Y _{i}-\bar{Y} \right )$
