Can someone explain what the steps for solving the following problem. Space shuttle astronauts consume an avarage of 3000 calories a day. One meal normally consists of a main dish, a vegetable, and two different disserts. The astronauts can choose between 10 main dishes, 8 vegetables, and 13 disserts. How many different meals are possible?

That would be the right answer if they only wanted one dessert. But the question stipulates two desserts. The logic you use is still correct but you need to account for all possible dessert combinations now.Originally Posted by Outlier
