Help with Statistical Analysis on a questionnaire?
Hi,
My final year project is based around communicating information about Climate change and Malaria in various formats. One of these formats was my blog. I wrote a short blog with information about malaria control methods. The idea was that I would ask in a questionnaire what peoples interest was in malaria before they read the blog and their interest in malaria after they have read the blog. The question was answered on a (likert) scale of 1-5 (1 = no interest, 5 = very interested).
I need to perform a statistical analysis on my data (55 questionnaire responses). I think I need to do a paired T-test, to see if there is a statistical difference between interest in malaria before and after reading my blog. I'm competent in carrying out the test, I just wondered if someone could give me the thumbs up on this being the right test before I launch into it!!

If you want to prevent possible discussions about the scale of your measure
(some would argue that your scale is ordinal rather than interval, so
t-test wouldn't apply), you may consider the Wilcoxon signed rank test.
