Yes Fisher's exact test can be done on any size table. However some software can't do this. What software are you using?
Hi, I am doind research on different treatments to a disease. I broke down the categories into different age groups, i.e. 5-10,11-15,16-20 etc. and by different treatments. The outcome recorded is remission. The contingency table I made is a 4 by 5 table. And some of my values fall under 5. I cannot collapse groups. Should I perform a chi squared test or a fisher exact test. If using a fisher exact test is more accurate, can it be done using a 4 by 5 table? If so, how can you perform this test?
