Does he really need to miss all of the first five shots?
the question:
A basketball player has an established practice routine. He does not leave the gym until he has made 5 free throws in a row. the prob that he makes a free throw is 0.85. What is the probability that he leaves after a total of 10 free throws?
My attempt at the question:
Binomial dist with n=10, standard deviation(0.85)^5
he has to lose the first 5 throws so i am assuming the probability is (1-0.85)^5
and he has to make the next 5 throws so that probability would be (0.85)^5
i do not know how to go on from here
Please help!
THANKS! (:
