It says it's for 2.14 but it works with 2.15 as well if you make the obvious modifications.
I am trying to install a package in R called RMySQL, but the package comes in a .tar.gz file. I have only installed packages in R that self-install.
How do I go about installing a .tar.gz file in R?

I'm using Windows 7.
Ok then follow that guide I linked to in the previous post. It's easy enough to install a package from a .tar.gz file but that's not going to solve your problems with RMySQL.
