I am trying to figure out how to do something with graphs that deal with multiple response sets. I'm working on SPSS 20 and with 2 categorical variables that are identical (e.g. During which time periods do you like to watch television, pick one or two). I have inputs for each category including non-response (eg they only named one time period) and missing data (the data collector forgot to write the response down).

First I have defined the variables identically for each variable (I think). When I run a simple bar graph for just one variable, with percentages in the y axis, the labels in the x-axis are the variable definitions (which I want). When I run the graph with the multiple response set, the x-axis labels are the inputs not the definitions. I want the definitions to be the labels on the x axis, not the inputs. How is that done?

Also is there a way to label the bars with the precise percentages on/on top of the bars?
