You've come to the wrong place to be persuaded not to study statistics...
Hey all im new here. I am current student at Colorado State University. I am majoring in business administration-accounting, and minoring in applied statistics.
I am wondering if anyone can tell me any reason not to pursue a statistics minor. I have some electives I need to fill up so I thought I would put those towards a minor.
I enjoy statistics and find it challenging, but I wonder if having a minor in stats can be beneficial in any other way besides personal knowledge?
Thanks for reading and am happy to be a part of this forum. I just finished introduction to statistical methods (basic stuff, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, probability, z,t,x^2, and f distributions) and I have done a business stats class (excel-based.) Next semester I am taking stats for behavioral sciences, and data analysis tools.

In God we trust. All others must bring data.

Haha I figured. I was just thinking more along the lines of a minor degree possibly being useless compared to the more advanced stat degrees offered.
I am still very new about the job market in statistics, but for an entry level job, do firms looking for statisticians even consider minors?
