I've been given a set of data with 5 subgroups and 10 samples from each subgroup
What I need to do is calculate the control limits on means and ranges and then plot the samples on the control charts for Mean and range
so far ive worked out the Grand mean and Average Range, but I'm stuck due to the fact that the constants that ive been given are a warning and action limits(so that a warning and action limit for the normal mean chart, and another 2 values for the range chart). I'm not sure how to proceed
The constants (warning and action) you have been given are the values which you are examining to see if your points fall outside of. I'm afraid I'm a bit confused about what you are struggling with, is it with the construciton of the control limits?
