    Unhappy Probability



    Hi everyone, how can i start this? i have a lot of 32k parts and I would like to calculate the probability of finding one bad part in this lot, how can I calculat this what formula can I use? thanks in advance.

    Can you elaborate on this a little more? What is your exact situation? Note that without details we can't help. Also note that if you don't have any data or assumptions we can make that there really is no "magic formula" that will automatically answer your question.

    Yes, I sampled 3000 parts of process producing plastic parts, and I found that this process have a defective percent of 0.065%. The data are attribute (pass/failed).

    So, I would like to calculate the probabilities of finding 12 defective parts out of 32,000 parts of the same process.
