Guys, I am struggling to understand how the probability of the Battleships game works. Clearly the variables are a) the area of the grid b) the area of the target and c) the area of the bomb. If the grid is 100, the target is 1 and the bomb is 1, then I guess the answer is 1/100 x 1. If the size of the target is increased to 4, then 1/100 x 4. But what if the bomb is increased to 100, this equation cannot work 100/100 x 4, obviously the probability of a hit is 1 not 4. Any helps please? Mark
