    Cca

    Hello
In CCA is it a must that the number of IV's to be less than or equal the number of DV's,i mean are there any assumptions or conditions about the number of the IV's and DV's??.
    Thank you for help.

Only really that the number of cases for reliable estimates should be at least 20 times the number of variables. Try looking for: Applied multivariate statistics for the social sciences. Hillsdale, NJ: Erlbaum. - Stevens, J. (1986)

    hello,
what i meant by the abbreviation "CCA" is Canonical Correlation Analysis,,for the reply about the number of the cases which says "should be at least 20 times the number of the variables"..is it assumption or subjective????.
    thank you.

Not an assumption per se., but your estimates from your model will be more robust.
