Hi all,

I'm stuck on a problem I've been given:

"The sample mean of X is 16, the sample size is 100, and the population mean and variance are assumed to be 18 and 10, respectively. Compute the test statistic one would use to determine if the sample mean is statistically different than the population mean at alpha = .01."

I'm a little thrown off here due to the information given mostly, that no standard deviation of the sample is provided.

Any guidance would be appreciated!
