Question More than 2 outcome (categorical), what is the statistical test?

    Hello everyone!

If I have an outcome (dependent variable) is 3 outcomes (Scale of measurement: categorical/nominal)

and the interdependent variable is also categorical (binary)

    Study design: unmatched

What is the best test for analyzing it? Is it Multinominal regression? Or what?

Probably multinomial logistic regression. I assume from the above you have one dependent variable with three nominal levels.

    Yes, exactly!

So, I've to go with multinomial logistic regression?

    Thanks a lot!

There likely is many ways to do this, there commonly is with statistics, but that is certainly one way to do it.
