Smile Correlation between lines:Odd man out

    Dear Friends,

I am analyzing the presence of cis element in 1K upstream of some up regulated genes. I have got the number of elements in the smaller bins (50 bases each) of 1K promoter. Now when I am plotting them, I found that at around -800 from 0 (i.e. TSS), there is a sharp increase in the number of those cis element (See attached figure).

Now i want a statistical test to say this confidently that region around -800 to -700 harbor more of cis elements.

Prompt response will be highly appreciated.

@ Vinay I guess me and probably the larger audience are facing a tough time to understand your problem..may because I am unaware of the terminologies and that the x-axis of the plot is not visible!
Could you explain the problem in a simple way and provide appropriate plot(s).
