    Comparing the effect of 26 compounds on 2 different organisms




    Hello,
    I have tested the antifungal effect of 26 related compounds on 2 different organisms: a yeast and a mold. The data clearly shows that there is a correlation between the minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC) for both organisms, and when I plot a XY scatter I get a linear regression with r=~0.8. But I think there must be a better way to analyze the data.
    I cannot assume that the MIC of the compounds on each organisms have the same dispersion, etc... I guess I need some test that ranks the MIC values before comparing them, but I do not know what.

    Some help on my 1st post?

    It seems like it fits better by taking the log of both variables.

    (But I did not understand how the “MIC” values were created.)

    If I understand you correctly, you should be able to analyze this using a 2-way ANOVA or Regression with organism type as the second variable.
