Hi,

I'm new in this forum, please bare with me

I've been trying to find out the name of the "follows distribution" symbol, but I haven't got any luck.

I know that most of the times we use the "tilde" as in:

Y ~ B(N, p)

but I've seen this:

So, what's the proper way to write this? And does the symbol have a name? does anybody know if there's a LaTeX command to write this?

Thanks,
Jorge
