    Conditional probability

    Hello all

I need some assistance with this problem:

Let A and B be two event such that:

    P(A|~B) = 1/2 and P(B|AUB)=2/5

    Find P(B)

    P.S: ~B means not B

The final answer should be 1/4, I can't seem to get there...

    Thank you !

    1. Apply the definition of conditional probability.

    2. A \cap B^c is disjoint with B
