What statistical test is ideal for my research??

I am doing a study on expression of cytokeratins in areas of oral lichen planus and adjacent normal tissue. my sample size is 58. the study is done to find out whether cytokeratins are present in the areas affected by the disease oral lichen planus and the adjacent normal tissue.

i would like to know the ideal statistical test for this study...

    thanks in advance

    Hey,
The statistical test depends on the what sort of data you have.
What data type is your expression?
Do you have expression= Yes/NO or some continuous measures or the number of cytokeratins expressed?
Oh Thou Perelman! Poincare's was for you and Riemann's is for me.
