    Interpreting Number Need to Treat

I work out manually that my number needed to treat was 170.

I then used a program to work out confidence interval of -0.0191 to 0.0073.

However, I don't know how to interpret this. I know that to get actual CI for NNT I need to do 1/0.0191 and 1/-0.0073. However I get -53 patients and -137 patients. which I do know how to interpret and I'm pretty sure 'infinity' needs to be mentioned here.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I've now download a biostatistics program and it's listed in CI as 52.248 (Harm) to ∞ to 137.068 (Benefit). Can someone explain this please/
