Bonferroni correction in multiple linear regressions: HELP NEEDED

    Hi,

I'm running the following regression in R for 16000 promotors and one Phenotype (let's say Systolic Blood Pressure, RR_sys):

    lm (RR_sys ~ Promotor + sex + age)

Now, to the best of my knowledge, the bonferroni corrected p-value would for the promotor coefficient is:

    0,05 / 16000 = 3.13E-6

However, regarding my question, do I account for the number of regressors in the multiple linear regression? Is this more correct for the bonferroni corrected p-value of the promotor coefficient in my multiple linear regression of 3 regressor variables (promotor, sex and age):

    0,05 * 3 / 16000 = 9.39E-6

Reply would be very much appreciated!

    Best,
