    Two questions about my study

I have 2 questions about my study:

    1. I did a study but now I have only one male and the rest are females. I have like 19 sample size. So should I exclude the male subject or keep him and use an ANCOVA?

    2. When i use an ANCOVA, I get the means and SE from SPSS, but no SD. Can I use that SE to calculate the SD to get the effect sizes?

    thank you so much

    1. that really depends on the situation; nobody can say in generality with this limited info.
    2. yes. but SE is the SD of the coefficients, so use SE for CI on coefficients, etc.; this might be helpful
The mathematical explanation of a statistical procedure is really just pseudo-code, which we can make operational by translating it into real computer code. --B. Klemens
